Introductory Component

Hello humans and non-humans alike. I am Rachel, a 21 year old female living in Northern California territories. The Bay Area is where I was born and raised, and it is where to this day I remain resinating. Around the age of 13 or 14 I began to develop a more complex taste for sound, after being introduced to my Aunt's old record collection. It was stocked with all kinds of timeless vinyl melodies. My first stage was the indulgence of old school Gothic and early Deathrock subculture. I became fascinated with the Sisters Of Mercy, Christian Death (and thereafter anything that Rozz Williams had done, rest in peace, sweet Prince) Siouxie And The Banshees, Bauhaus, 45 Grave, etc. This all began a 4 year phase of Deathrock indulgence and discovery for me. To shorten the tale, after graduating High School I became greatly enthralled with bands such as Cirlce Of Ouroborus, that incorporated that Post-Punky sound with the Metal music genre. This inspired my dive into the depths of various genres of Metal. And the rest is history I suppose. At this point in time, I am primarily enjoying Black, Depressive, and Folk Metal bands (got a nasty little tooth for metalcore as well :x). However this blog as time goes on will include a number of different groups that dabble in the genres of my past as well. Enjoy!!!
